Founded in 2023, Charleston Supercar was born out of a passion for late-model Corvettes, sports cars, and supercars. We recognized a clear need in the Charleston, SC area for a repair and performance facility dedicated to these extraordinary vehicles—a business as enthusiastic about these automobiles as their owners. At Charleston Supercar, having highly trained, certified, and detail-oriented technicians isn’t just a bonus—it’s the standard. Factory-Trained expertise without the inflated dealership prices.
Meet Kelly Brandt – Founder and Master Technician
Kelly’s journey began in 1996 as a high school intern at a GM dealership. After graduating at the top of his class from the GM ASEP program at WCTC—earning the prestigious “Leadership Award”—Kelly quickly established himself as a rising star in the automotive industry. By the age of 21, he was already an ASE Master and advanced-level technician.
Kelly’s career spans nearly three decades, starting in Wisconsin before relocating to Charleston, SC in 2005. In 2006, he achieved the elite status of GM World Class Master Certified Technician and became a Corvette specialist in 2012. Known for his exceptional technical skills and his honest, respectful approach to customer service, Kelly earned the loyalty of countless clients. His time as Shop Foreman at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet, where he worked for 20 years, honed his expertise in both running a shop and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Notably, in 2017, Kelly and his teammate Danny Emerick won the Randy Dorton Engine Builder Showdown, a testament to his unparalleled expertise and passion for performance vehicles.
